Rang a 3 and a 4 investigated how boats float as part of their learning during Science week. We did some origami to create our boats and then tested to see who’s was the sturdiest boat by filling with cubes. We discovered that boats will float if their shape pushes away more water than they weigh ie they are less dense that the water that surrounds them.
